Touch type tool:
The touch type tool will allow you to control and influence the individual character within the text area. Important features such as line heights, kerning can be controlled along with the character panels. Besides, you can also edit text on a real time basis. This tool is imperative to speed up your workflow especially when you handle heavy design.
Enhancement with font search:
A new search function option as ‘Search Entire Font Name’ has been added to the character and control panel. In addition, the integration of Typekit for desktop fonts is also recently announced to ensure easy design mock-ups using the same fonts you want to use on the web.
CSS properties panel:
This feature enables you to extract CSS from the Illustrator document. However, it also allows other ways to do that. The key technique to make this work is naming the layers within the layers panel. Although, Illustrator can generate CSS without the object having a name within the layers panel, but it becomes a little disorganized way of generating code. This is how the class rules are named by the Illustrator it creates for you.
You can control the CSS generated by get into the CSS Export Options dialog box. You can access the dialog box by selecting the CSS Export Options button towards the bottom right of the panel that offers various functions for the CSS workflow. These include:
Check and view the CSS object for a selected object
Copy CSS code for a selected object
Export CSS object to a CSS file with images

Images and brushes:
You can now add raster images to your Pattern, Scatter and Art brushes. For instance, if you want to use an ‘X’ pattern it is possible with Adobe Illustrator CC. This feature also enables you to edit paths and reshape the raster images applied to the brush. It looks similar like Photoshop sprinkled into Illustrator.
With the improved Illustrator CC, Adobe takes the advantage of high resolution display. With Illustrator CC, text will look crisp, UI elements such as cursor, icons will appear smoother and artwork will look much better. In addition, the rendering process is also improved as it takes the advantage of multi-core machines and uses threaded rendering to render artwork. You can notice these improvements in tasks such as copy-paste, zooming, drag and drop and panning.
Illustrator CC helps you to copy something within a document and easily paste it on the HTML editor. All the SVG code gets placed within the document. Moreover, Adobe has added support for exporting unused style. While designing and creating an artwork, you have to work with several graphic styles and often you may not use all the available style. Therefore, while you work in the SVG format, all the unused styles do not get exported automatically.
Illustrator CC offers two new features to enhance the experience of working with style in SVG format.
Let’s take a look at some of the other additional features in Illustrator CC:
Illustrator CC now has the ability to sync multiple devices. You can now easily sync your home computer with your work computer. Therefore, you can not only work for multiple people but also from multiple locations.
Automatic corner generation:
Adobe has now built a new auto feature that creates corner tiles for pattern brushes based on certain standards that you select. This makes crafting pattern brushes much easier and faster.
You can now un-embed images that are imbedded in Illustrator without going to the Links panel and select all the assets and accordingly embed and un-embed them.
It is possible to use bright and attractive colours and sync them to your design by using Illustrator CC and Adobe Kuler app. Moreover, it is quite impressive to capture the colours with your phone app and sync them with your colour panel in Illustrator CC.
There is no need for saving assets, colour palettes or fonts to an external folder. With Illustrator CC it packages all of them together. It makes sending files to web layouts or prints that are passed off to other web designer quite painless and easy.
